Toys

I have lots of toys. I like yellow ones more. I can't see all the colours. I can see only blue and yellow colour. That's how all dogs are. Mom didn't know that. Dad told her that. Now, she knows. I like the squeaky toys. When I bite, the squeaky toy squeaks and I just love that. It gets me all excited. I had a flying disc made of hard plastic. I started chewing it and that went on for hours. Mom told Dad that I was eating plastic. Dad didn't listen to her and laughed at her. He said that dogs don't eat plastic. But Mom was right. When Dad was not looking at me, I was slyly tearing off small pieces of plastic and swallowing those pieces. Mom kept cautioning and Dad kept ignoring; and I kept eating plastic. Next morning I vomitted chunks of plastic. I also vomitted a little blood for the craggy and sharp edged plastic pieces had torn the inside of my neck. Dad took the half eaten plastic frisbee and threw it away. After that no more frisbee. But then I don't care much for it was not my favourite toy. My most precious toy is a torn towel. It is my comfort companion. I used to sleep on it as a baby and then used it for tug of war with Dad and also with Grandma when she visited us. It still remains. Now, it has become more like a shredded handkerchief but all the same it is my comfort toy and I love it dearly. Mom has named some of my toys and I can recognise those by the name. One is called a owl. Another one is called a penguin. There is also one called ball. For three months Dad was not at home. He used to visit us only during the weekend. It was then that Mom taught me the names of my toys. They get me toys now and then. Dad first washes the toy with soap and water, and then only gives it to me. I love my toys and I am very possesive about  all those. However, I don't like to keep my toys inside the toy box. I like it when all my toys are kept on the floor in different places of the room. It makes me feel good about the room. It makes me feel as if the whole house is a really big toy box with toys lying all around on the floor.
